I've started converting our user interface from WinForms to WPF. If you're reading this, you should probably just pretend you care, just to humor me. Thanks. :) Since I'm actually new to WPF (and enjoying it immensely) I've spent a lot of time staring at documentation for the past week or so. Around Monday I invented the word "brainfucked" to describe how I was feeling. It's a term to convey that a large amount of information has entered your brain and is now having its way with your cranium while you helplessly stare at a monitor trying to get the letters in MVVM to settle down in the right order. Luckily, I got a bottle of Crown Royal for Christmas and it was able to tame the glyphs into submission.
Soon I hope to have the UI back to where it was before the rewrite, but now with a more robust implementation. After that it's just a matter of slamming in some new functionality, polishing up the styles a bit, and probably more Crown Royal. *COUGH*grossly oversimplified*COUGH* Wish me luck; I want to have the rewrite part done by the end of this weekend.
Whats new?
ReplyDeleteNot too much. We're still working through tasks one by one and hopefully getting them done faster than new ones come up. The rewrite I mentioned in that last post is done, so I've been implementing some new stuff for the past week or so. Tonight I'll do a little more on the Groups feature that allows you to group snakes together for easy batch operations. Jarrad and I need to meet soon and hopefully get another developer friend of ours on the project. Jarrad is going to get to work on our website in the meantime as well.
ReplyDeleteProgress. Fun stuff. :)
